Mary and John from a calvary group

In June 2022, the Jean van Caloen Foundation expanded its art collection. Two statues, Mary and John from a calvary group, complete the medieval art. The statues date from the 15th century. This acquisition is a fascinating addition to Jean van Caloen's collection of sculptures. This acquisition, with the Passion as its theme, fills a gap in iconography. The exceptional condition of both sculptures is also an added value.
